• "Ginger Grant from Gilligan’s Island fame, eat your heart out. You’ve got competition from Cassie Cooper (Gabrielle Mack). Mack plays the envious, high-strung wife. She makes some funny choices with this character and is not afraid to flaunt it, but it’s very funny in these most awkward moments."

The Orange Curtain Review on Neil Simon’s Rumors at The Newport Theatre Arts Center (January 17th 2025 - February 9th 2025)

Hello!

My name is Gabrielle Mack, and I’m an actress based in Los Angeles, California. As a lifelong performer of theatre, my journey led me to receiving a BFA in Acting, a BA in Studio Art, and minors in graphic design and European studies from Michigan State University.

During my time at Michigan State, I studied Commedia dell’arte, Shakespeare/classical, film, voice, and improv. I performed in various roles including Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Mistress Stone in Bonnets: How Ladies of Good Breeding are Induced to Murder. I was cast as a lead in my first professional show; Be Here Now at The Williamston Theatre that unfortunately got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, I moved to Rome, Italy for four months to study oil painting and art history at The American University of Rome.

A month after graduation I moved across the country from Michigan to Los Angeles with $500 and a U-Haul. The Groundlings became a place where I felt grounded in an unknown city. I quickly completed their improv program; studying under Emily Pendergast, Roy Jenkins, Lauren Burns, Mary Scheer, and Phyllis Katz. I continue to take classes there today and look forward to moving on to sketch writing. In April 2024, I started studying the Meisner technique under Gabriel Grier and Wolfgang Bodison at Playhouse West LA.

I recently worked on the movie, Joker: Folie à Deux for a year in visual effects. I learned so much about filmmaking during my time at Warner Brothers and it led me to work as a production coordinator on the upcoming film Ether.

In September I was cast as a lead in the new play Peace Be With You at The Wayward Artist Theatre. Most recently, I played the principal role Chloe in the upcoming horror short HAG written and directed by Brooke deRosa. I’ve also spent the last couple of months playing Cassie Cooper in Neil Simon’s Rumors at The Newport Theatre Arts Center.

Outside of acting, I often create oil paintings and drawings, specifically works grounded in realism. In my free time I enjoy planning my Halloween costumes, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and taking heels classes at Playground LA.

Cheers,

Gabrielle
